Vonage long distance...the information you're looking for.

Vonage long distance:

What is Vonage?

Vonage is a digital VOIP telephone service provider. If you look for a local and long-distance carrier, Vonage can help you for one low monthly price. What do you need to use Vonage? You need a high speed internet connection, a credit card with a billing address (the address where you live). A Vonage phone adapter and any touch-tone phone corded or cordless. Vonage recommend their V-portal router/adapter (10$+tx if you sign up online and this router help troubles shoot potential problems).

Two things are great with Vonage: first is the 30days free trial. During this trial if you feel that Vonage will not suit your needs, you can cancel your account return the device, and they will refund your money. Beware that sometimes connection to the service delay may vary. So switch from a company to another can comes with small problems. Problems depend of many things like hold wires or network, your home location, your credit... some company have connection and cancellation fee, other credit you only if you are with a competitor and switch for them. My advice is simple, if you have a backup like a mobile phone go for it, but if you don’t do not try for fun because it can be more expensive and it’s not fun at all to deal with problem if you don’t get a good credit. Phone problem do not come back again in most of the case and if the connection is done fast, the chance to deal with a major problem is minim. So if you experiment troubles but you save a lots of your money, I suggest you to be patient and give a second chance at the end you can be surprise and happy.

The second is that Vonage is the first carrier to offer live on line sales consultant. He can help you select and customize a Vonage solution for you. Take note that a sale consultant want to sale as many as possible. After your Vonage solution customize, take some time to evaluate others solutions or only to think about it a little longer. I tried it and it’s a good and fast way to obtain the best that Vonage can do for you.

All Vonage long distance promotion can be seeing online or with the online sales consultant. How calling with Vonage for free?

1-You need the local access number (you can find it on their website)

2-After the prompts dial the Vonage phone number or the 800 number that you want to call. If the call is international, you will dial like with any other phone.(you need ID, country code , city/areas code and the phone number of the phone you want to reach, go see my webpage on international calling code)

3-You are connected for free, only if the phone carrier do not charge fee for call from the phone you will use. Contact the local company because Vonage use their network and use the closest Vonage access number to who apply.

For call done with your home phone or that will be billed anyway (long distance international by example) just use your phone normally. Calling free Vonage long distance to Vonage or 800 numbers can be long to dial, but if people you call each month switch their service for Vonage, they will save when calling your Vonage number. I saw better, but that can be good if you know Vonage customer or people willing to thrust you enough to try it.
